This paper (both as a presentation and as a poster) recounts the efforts of people from all walks of life - Politics, Science, Art, Literature, Sports-, that had to struggle with a physical or mental weakness (handicap, personal tragedy, dyslexia, psychological problems, professional impediments) and managed not only to overcome them successfully but also to become role models and inspire others. We introduce the untold stories of Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, F.D Roosevelt, Marie Curie, Oprah Winfrey, Thomas Edison, Rosa Parks, Walt Disney, The Beatles, Helen Keller, Stephen Hawking, Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai and others. We describe the process of collecting the information and the visuals we used in order to make a digital story. Our objective in writing this script was to boost our peers’ confidence by showing them that no problem is unsurpassable and no failure irreversible no matter how difficult and devastating they may seem at a certain moment of their life and inspire them to keep on trying to learn from the mistakes and try to become “winners of life”.
